The cartridge within the HO shower filter is a reversible one-year filter cartridge (HOC). It can easily be reversed and operated in either direction. Periodic reversing of the HOC not only eliminates channeling (ensuring balanced filtration) but also back-flushes the filter. Its unique Chlorgon filtration media means it will filter out total chlorine - both free and combined - providing for enhanced chlorine removal protection. In addition, it will remove hydrogen sulfide (which causes that rotten egg smell), iron oxides (which causes rust water), dirt, sediment and odors. And, as if that isn't enough, it's pH balanced. The estimated life on this cartridge filter is one year.
